What is ACM KCPC?
Kuwait Collegiate programming contest is a local competition in which teams of undergraduate students compete for 5-hours against each other to solve a set of programming problems that will provide the students to show and improve their skills in programming, analytical thinking and problem solving. As it also improves some other social skills like teamwork and how to work under pressure. The winning teams in KCPC will be qualified to the Arab Regional contest, ACM ACPC.
My Experience?
This was my first experience in the 5th KCPC competition. It took place in GUST, Kuwait late October 2017. My team name was given by the coach and it was called Great Coders. In this experience I have had the honor to compete side by side with Ahmed Hassan and Anwr Monthr. By solving 5 problems and we have been ranked the 7th and qualified to the Arab Regional’s contest with a bronze medal and some certificates: first to solve problem C and Streadfast Gurus, which means that we have submitted the last accepted solution. I have learned a lot here in this contest with the great team, as I have experience how to be a leader in this contest since it was not my first programming contest experience. This contest was a big success to me and that’s because of the team and the support of my best professors in the University, Dima Abu Rshaid and Dr. Amir Zeid.
The regional contest took place in Sharm El-Shiekh, Egypt late November. Not much to talk about it, but it was a great experience to us and I would Thanks Diyar United Company for sponsoring us to participate. We have ranked 94th.
